Stephen Chan D.Hyp (Adv.) (FIAPH) / BACP / AAMH Certified Medical Hypnotherapist in Belfast, Portadown and Newry, Northern Ireland

Stephen Chan, hypnosis, hypnotherapy, belfast, portadown, newry, northern ireland
My name is Stephen Chan, and thank you for taking the time to visit my site and allowing me this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and, more importantly, why I believe that I am in a position to offer you what I believe to be the best possible help and support for whatever is troubling you right now.

I’m guessing that by now you have tried pretty much everything, talked to just about everyone in your attempt to sort your problems out and you’ve probably tried the usual talking therapies, life style gurus, drugs, monetary distractions, self help books, relaxation techniques, various religious/spiritual beliefs, fortune tellers....and what has all this time and effort brought you?

Little or no lasting relief.

Right now, you’re probably desperate and it’s the last resort...Hypnotherapy.
How do I know this about you? I’ve been there!

I know what it’s like to feel that there’s something inside you that seems out of your control; to feel that you have to put on that ‘mask’ every morning in an attempt to feel accepted; to look in the mirror and wonder who that stranger is looking back at you; to feel guilty and judged; to have destroyed relationships and spent a small fortune trying to run away. But, the strangest thing is that, at the time, feeling as if I was on an ‘out of control emotional rollercoaster’ felt sadly ‘normal’ to me.

This is when after much deliberation I turned to Hypnotherapy and, yes, in the back of my mind I was worried that it was some sort of mind control thing, that I’d end up barking like a dog, that they could just click their fingers and fix me, change me...just like that...magic! And in a way there was a part of me hoping that it would be that easy! But it wasn’t like that - it was really, really relaxing and involved me being given lovely suggestions from a lovely hypnotherapist, everything that wanted to believe about myself and listening to tapes at home in an attempt to reinforce these lovely suggestions...but despite their best efforts... IT didn’t really work!

Then I discovered that there is ‘Pure Hypnoanalysis’ which is a different, more effective type of hypnotherapy because it actually helps you to deal with the real reasons why we have the problems that we do...they are a result of the emotional baggage that we were all taught to carry because we just weren’t taught how to deal with our feelings and emotions. No! We were taught that the ‘best’ way to deal with all our guilt, pain, grief, hurt and angst was to ‘put them in a box’ to ‘bottle them up’ to bury them alive and to just get on with life...which we did, we even managed to forget some things and some we even forgot we had forgotten in the first place. We did this because we were afraid that we would be judged and afraid we wouldn’t be loved and we did it because we were told it’s the thing to do. But eventually our ‘boxes’ and ‘bottles’ became full and now it’s this overflow of emotions that’s breaking the proverbial camel’s back that we can’t cope with........resulting in stress, anxiety, addictions, phobias, eating disorders emotional and physical dis-ease that plague us today.

It took the experience, help and care of a Pure Hypnoanalyst, plus a large dollop of courage from myself, that allowed me to finally feel safe and non-judged enough to release my guilt, shame and angst of the past and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done, allowing me the peace of mind and confidence that I’d always yearned for; my only regret now is that I didn’t do it earlier, much earlier!

All this happened over a decade ago and, needless to say, the experience has changed my life, so much so that I decided to train with The International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts, the only organisation in the world that teaches ‘Pure Hypnoanalysis’, so in turn I can now offer this truly life changing therapy to you.

Now that you realise that I’ve been on a path similar to yours and this is precisely why I have the greatest of confidence in this therapy and, more importantly, in my abilities to be able to re-create the same comfortable, safe and non-judgemental environment that were afforded to me in order for you to release your ‘bottled up’ emotions and at last set yourself free to be the best that you can be...as it has done for me.

But don’t just take my word for it...call me on 0800 970 1189 and I will arrange a free confidential consultation for you in which I will explain exactly how your problems can and will be sorted out once and for all…usually within 6 to 9 weeks! If you think all this sounds too good to be true, just come in for your free consultation and allow me to PROVE it to you!

I am also trained in counselling and N.L.P. and I am presently the relaxation consultant for the Southern Area Hospice. I also lecture for the IAPH on pain management / hypno-anaesthesia and have given lectures and workshops for the Southern Education Board and various counselling organisations

At the 21st Annual Conference in May of 2006, I became one of the first eighteen members of the International Association of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysts to be awarded the Advanced membership status, from a worldwide membership of 400 hypnotherapists.

As a fully qualified member of the International Association of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysts, the American Association of Medical Hypnotherapists and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I am bound by a strict code of Practice and Ethics of the highest standards.

Having undergone extensive training and satisfied the various examination boards of his competence, I am also committed to excellence of service to my clients and I am committed to an ongoing programme of personal and professional development in my field of therapy...... “Because I feel I have a responsibility to retain and update my repertoire of skills regularly, in order for me to provide the highest possible quality of therapy. I believe that my clients expect and deserve the best.” With over a decade of experience, I have seen the results of hypnotherapy, specifically Pure Hypnoanalysis first hand and I know how it can be used to effectively help people overcome a variety of issues.
